Hello, my name is

I’m a queer visual artist based in Montreal, Quebec. My artistic journey began at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where I honed my skills in illustration. After graduating, I founded my own creative practice under the pseudonym MOWA, a body of work deeply influenced by my upbringing on the West Coast. I also co-founded Blank Space, a collective dedicated to uplifting and amplifying the voices of queer Canadian artists.

Beyond illustration and painting, I’ve expanded my practice into digital design, working as a graphic designer after completing my studies at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. My latest works are an amalgamation of my vibrant history and lived experience as a queer person, reflecting my evolving artistic perspective and deep connection to storytelling through visual mediums.
